SSH Access
You will need SSH access to your Enterprise Gateway in order to follow along with this document. If you aren’t sure how to do this you can use this document to make sure the correct settings are enabled: SSH into your IoT Enterprise Gateway.
Default SSH Credentials:
Username: ncdio
Password: ncdB3ast
Windows users can use Powershell or a terminal program like PuTTy while Mac and Linux users can use the default terminal.
Note!
Please verify that your gateway has an active internet connection before initiating the update process.
Instructions
- Use the node-red interface to Export and Download “all flows”
- SSH into your Enterprise Gateway
- Paste this command into the terminal:
curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ncd-io/NCD-Edge-CR/refs/heads/main/configuration/scripts/update-nodejs-node-red-rebuild.sh | sudo bash
- The gateway installation process requires the password to proceed.
- Wait for the installation process.
- The script will verify the installation and prompt you with the Node-RED and Node.js version numbers.
- Finally, the terminal will display an ‘Update Complete!’ message once the process concludes. At that point, you can safely close the SSH connection.
