Amazon Echo (Alexa)
The Amazon Echo is a universal speech recognition device that goes by the name of Alexa. Talk to Alexa and Alexa will send data over the internet to IFTTT.
IFTTT Account
For this tutorial, you will need an account on IFTTT. IFTTT will receive voice data from Alexa and send data to the Particle Cloud.
Particle Account
Your Particle Account will be used to talk to a Relay Controller using the Particle cloud.
1-Channel IFTTT Relay Controller
Use our 1-Channel IFTTT Relay Controller connected to your garage door. When you talk to Alexa, voice data will go to IFTTT, which will send data to the Particle Cloud, which controls our IFTTT relay controller. That’s all there is to it, but the video walks you through the steps
