MirX Relays are equipped with firmware built into the board that will allow contact closure inputs to control contact closure outputs in a remote location. These wireless contact switch boards are simple to use and can be used in a wide range of applications.
The MirX Relays are sold in pairs and each device has contact closure inputs and relays, what’s different is that the contact closure inputs control the relays on the other device.

Wireless Contact Switching
The MirX Series is easy to use, easy to install, and requires no coding. Remote Wireless Relay Control and Switching couldn’t be simpler.
The contact closure can be anything from a simple push button or light switch to more complicated contact closure output sensors like proximity or some current sensors.
How It Works
Every MirX controller is equipped with contact closure inputs and outputs. The inputs on one controller activate the relays on the remote device using wireless communications. The “X” in MirX refers to the crossover. Since both devices are equipped with contact closure inputs and relays, each device targets and controls the remote device.

Wireless Range
MirC controllers use different wireless communication technologies giving them ranges of 300 Feet (Short Range), 1-Mile, 2-Mile and up to 15 Miles (Long Range). The wireless protocol will be an 802.15.4 that’s FAST, easy to use, and surprisingly reliable. The 300 foot module will be the default module and the prices shown on the web site will reflect this module. The other modules will be available at checkout if you would like to upgrade to a longer range. These ranges are based on a clear line of sight between MirC controllers/antennas, meaning obstacles such as trees, buildings and walls may limit these ranges slightly.
Relay Status
Wired Mir-X devices feature SPDT & SPST and Solid State relays in four different amperage options and are available with the same number of contact closure inputs as there are relays installed on the device. Contact Closure Inputs may only be connected to switches, buttons, or sensors with Contact Closure capability. Not suitable for use in voltage detection applications.
Contact Closure Inputs
A MirX controller has as many inputs as it has Relays. So a pair of 4 relay MirX controllers will have 4 relays on each board and 4 inputs on each board which are used for controlling the relays on the opposite Board, the same holds true for 1, 2, and 8 relay versions.
Relay Outputs
MirX Controllers have 1, 2, 4, or 8 Relays integrated into the circuit board. A relay is similar to a switch. The only difference between a switch and a relay is the actual mechanism for changing the on/off status of the switch. On a switch, you manually push on a piece of metal or plastic to operate the switch. On a relay, an electric current is used to operate the switch. Relays do NOT provide a voltage output. They provide a contact closure output, exactly like the terminals found on a light switch at your local hardware store. Wiring to a relay will be slightly different depending on the model of MirX controllers you choose.
