Device Overview
NCD IoT Wireless AC Current Detection sensor transmitters makes it easy to receive alerts when the AC current value exceeds the preset limits. This current limit can be set up via an on-board Potentiometer. This IoT long range wireless AC Current Detection sensor transmitter includes one 0-100Amp AC current clamp, that is used to detect if there is any current flowing through the sensor. The input current range is 0-100A, sending a transmission if the measured value is over the set threshold. The sensor also sends packets periodically, indicating the input status as well as the battery level, just to let you know it’s alive and well.
Receive an alert when AC current value exceeds the preset value, receive another alert when the AC current drops below preset value. This IoT long range wireless AC Current Detection sensor is ideally used in Automation applications that need a reliable long-range wireless AC current detect transmission. Powered by two AA batteries, it has up to 10 years of battery life depending on environmental conditions and the transmission interval required for your application. Optionally, this sensor may be externally powered.
This AC Current Detection sensor transmitter will send wireless push notifications over a distance of up to 2 miles using the included antennas (line of sight) or up to 28 miles using high-gain antennas.

Status LED
The Status LED is used to indicate errors or other sensor diagnostics.
LED blinks once – Message was sent successfully and no error in last sensor read as well in data transmission.
LED blinks twice and then one more time – Message was sent successfully but there was an error in last sensor read.
LED blinks thrice – MCU is having issue communicating with the radio module.

Power Requirements and Expected Battery Life
Power Requirements
This Sensor is battery powered
Powered by AA batteries (NCD recommends Energizer L91 batteries).
Can also be powered by an External Power supply.
While changing the batteries:
- Turn off the sensor
- Only use new L91 batteries
- Checkout the polarity marking on the battery holder and batteries
- Replace all six batteries with new L91 batteries. Do not mix old and new batteries
- Batteries should not be replaced in fire-risky areas
- Do NOT install rechargeable batteries
